About Counseling

Counseling is a professional service that enables clients to resolve personal issues and build skills to achieve greater functionality in daily living. Counseling utilizes a combination of mental health and developmental principles that help clients achieve a variety of goals including but not limited to mental, emotional, social, physical, educational, career, and spiritual adjustment and growth. The goals of treatment are determined by clients and are focused on guiding clients to help themselves, and timeframes and results vary according to client needs and efforts.

Together, you will explore what the most effective approach to therapy should be, and it will be provided in the context of a compassionate, caring therapeutic alliance.

Please see the page about first appointments on this website to find out more about the use of your health insurance in obtaining therapy. Call 512-740-6574 to schedule an appointment with Jean. Feel free to leave a voice mail as it is confidential.

Insurance/Employee Assistance Programs

Our counselors accept many forms of insurance and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Insurance plans vary by employer. Mental health coverage is rarely consistent with your medical benefits coverage, and mental health benefits are often outsourced to companies that are different than your medical insurance company.  If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, please see the first appointment checklist.
